Can you currently park at Frankfurt Terminal 2?
The underground car park and terminal forecourts at Terminal 2 are closed to public traffic. Terminal 2 has not been used for regular passenger flights since 9 June 2026. Your current departure terminal – Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 – is therefore what matters.
Why people still search for Terminal 2 and P17
Terminal 2 was a major departure point at Frankfurt Airport for many years. Many navigation destinations, bookmarks, forum posts and travel blogs still refer to it. The former drop-off area P17 therefore still appears in searches and old directions, although it can no longer be used as a public terminal forecourt since the closure. Only current information from your airline and on-site signs is reliable.

Terminal 3 has taken over the former Terminal 2 flights. Check whether the selected shuttle serves Terminal 3 directly or stops at Terminal 1, area B6, where the free airport connection continues to Terminal 3.
Dropping off and collecting passengers: current alternatives

What if old booking information still mentions Terminal 2?
If your documents still mention Terminal 2, update the terminal before travelling using your airline’s current information. For booked parking, the transfer or handover rule in your confirmation applies: depending on the offer, the shuttle serves Terminals 1 and 3 directly or Terminal 1/B6 with the free airport connection onward to Terminal 3. If in doubt, contact the provider using the details in your confirmation.
